The ninth installment of the Control of Breathing and Airway Defense (CoBAD) International Online Seminar Series featured Vsevolod Polotsky, MD, PhD, on Friday, August 21st. Dr. Polotsky is a pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine physician and a professor at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His most recent research focuses on molecular signaling in the hypothalamus, medulla, and the carotid body contributing to the pathogenesis of sleep disordered breathing. His seminar was entitled “Leptin and Leptin Resistance in Sleep Disordered Breathing.” This session was NOT recorded, as it contained unpublished data.
