Dr. Mulkey is a professor in the Department of Physiology and Neurobiology at the University of Connecticut. His most recent research involves the study of RTN chemoreception mechanisms with a focus on the roles of neurons, astrocytes, and vasculature under normal conditions and how disruption of these mechanisms contributes to breathing problems in various disease states.
