CoBAD: Fuller & ElMallah

The Control of Breathing and Airway Defense (CoBAD) International Online Seminar Series featured David Fuller, PhD, and Mai ElMallah, MD, on Friday, February 26th at 3:00 pm ET. Dr. Fuller is a professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Florida. His research program is aimed at understanding how neuroplasticity in the brain and spinal cord influences control of breathing. Dr. ElMallah is an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Duke University. As a pediatric pulmonary clinician-scientist, her research focuses on gene therapy for respiratory insufficiency in neuromuscular disorders. Their seminar was entitled: “Understanding and treating respiratory dysfunction in Pompe disease.”
