The UF BREATHE Center is pleased to co-sponsor the upcoming Graduate Student Diversity Research Day hosted by the Organization for Graduate Student Advancement and Professional Development and the Black Graduate Student Organization. The event will keynote speaker Dr. Monica Baskin, Professor of Preventive Medicine and the inaugural Vice Chair for Culture and Diversity in the Department of Medicine and inaugural Associate Director for Community Outreach and Engagement at the O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Alabama. In addition to an informational session on the BREATHE Training Program and other T32 opportunities as well as poster presentations from graduate students across UF, panel sessions will include:
- Black Voices in Academia
- Mentoring and Allyship for Faculty Working with Students of Color
- Women in Academia
- Intersectionality in Academia
Register as a judge, presenter, or attendee by March 15.
