BREATHE Alumni Receive DRS Awards

BREATHE Center Alumni, Dr. Lauren Tabor-Gray and Dr. Raele Robison, recently received several awards at the Dysphagia Research Society Annual Meeting. Dr. Tabor-Gray, Co-Director of the Phil Smith Neuroscience Institute ALS Center in Fort Lauderdale, was awarded the DRS New Investigator Award for her presentation, Impact of Expiratory Muscle Strength Training on Swallowing Kinematics in Individuals with ALS, and the Sumiko Okada International Fellowship. Dr. Raele Robison, F99/K00 Scholar in the Swallowing and Salivary Bioscience Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, was awarded 1st Place for her scientific abstract, Lingual Pressure Impairment Thresholds for Unsafe and Inefficient Swallowing in ALS.
