The Control of Breathing and Airway Defense (CoBAD) International Online Seminar Series featured Drs. Lynne Bilston & Jane Butler on Friday, February 25th at 3:00pm ET. Dr. Bilston’s research focuses on developing novel methods for measuring biomechanical properties and behavior of soft tissues in humans, particularly using MRI and rheometry. Dr. Butler’s research interests are in the control of human motoneurons in health and disease with a focus on the control of respiration. Their seminar was entitled: “Biomechanics, neural drive, and their interactions in upper airway patency in humans: insights from imaging, sleep and neurophysiology studies.”
