The Control of Breathing and Airway Defense (CoBAD) International Online Seminar Series featured Dr. Silvia Pagliardini on Friday, April 22nd at 3:00pm ET. Dr. Pagliardini’s research aims to gain an understanding of the neuronal mechanisms that control breathing and affect its function during sleep. Her lab is currently interested in delineating the function of a region in the brainstem that is crucial for the generation of expiratory activity, the paraFacial Respiratory Group. Her seminar was entitled: “Phox2b, Etonogenstrel and neural control of breathing.”
