The Control of Breathing and Airway Defense (CoBAD) Seminar Series will feature Dr. Brian Dlouhy, Associate Professor at the University of Iowa, on Friday, August 4 at 3:00pm ET. In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Dlouhy leads a human brain research lab that focuses on forebrain control of breathing and how the forebrain responds and perceives one’s breath. This research has led to novel insights into how seizures cause loss of breathing and sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP). His seminar is entitled: Novel Insights Into Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) from At-risk Patients.
