BREATHE T32 trainee, Alyssa Mickle, received the Trainee Professional Development Award from the Society for Neuroscience for her abstract titled “Distribution of cervical spinal c-Fos expression after epidural stimulation in rats with cervical spinal cord injury.” This award will help fund her travel to the Society for Neuroscience’s annual meeting this November. Alyssa notes: “I am very honored to have been recognized with this award and am excited to use it to share some of the research happening here at the BREATHE center. Receiving the Trainee Professional Development Award is a testament to the guidance I have received thus far from my many mentors in the BREATHE community and the support of the T32.” Congratulations, Alyssa!
