BREATHE Clinical Associate Director, Dr. Emily Fox, recently attended the 2024 American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Combined Sections Meeting in Boston, MA. While at the meeting her and a group from the Brooks-UF PHHP Collaboration that she leads, presented posters, oral platform presentations, and education sessions. The APTA recognized Dr. Fox as the 2024 Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy Spinal Cord Injury SIG Research Awardee. The SCI SIG Research Award recognizes a member of the SCI SIG who has demonstrated exemplary contributions to the body of research representative of the population the SIG serves. Dr. Fox says “this award is particularly meaningful since it is awarded by dedicated clinical and research experts focused on SCI rehabilitation.” Congratulations, Dr. Fox!
