SCI Awareness Month Demo and Social & Science at Brooks Rehab (Sept. 19, 3-7pm)

September is SCI Awareness Month!

The BREATHE Center, Brooks Rehabilitation Clinical Research Center, and the SCI Health Research Partnership (SHARP) celebrated and connected over SCI research with demos, dialogue, and delicious food! This co-hosted event brought together trainees, clinicians, and community members across Brooks Rehabilitation and the University of Florida.

We featured clinical research demonstrations from 3-4:30pm and our Social & Science from 4:30-7pm at the Brooks Rehabilitation Clinical Research Center (3901 University Blvd S, Suite 101) in Jacksonville on Thursday, September 19. The demos offered UF attendees, especially trainees, a chance to explore SCI clinical research at Brooks, while Social & Science provided an opportunity for group discussions centered on the lived experiences of people with SCI.
