The BREATHE Center cohosted a Rehabilitation Science Seminar featuring Dr. Tatum Simonson of the University of California San Diego on September 30, 2026. She presented: “Hypoxia as a Window into Precision Medicine.”
Dr. Simonson is an expert in human genetics and adaptation to hypoxia, with research spanning high-altitude populations such as the Sherpa and the genetic factors that shape individual responses to hypoxia and lung disease.
