DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

Mission: We recognize that an environment that is enriched with a diverse group of people enhances the field. Having a cohort of scholars at all levels from different backgrounds enriches our community. With that acknowledgement, our goal is to seek out that enrichment and diversity within our center.

How UF Can Help
UF Resources
The University of Florida has a wealth of resources for students, faculty, and staff that support a diverse learning and working environment. Center members may find these resources useful.

Outside Resources
The BREATHE Diversity & Inclusion Subcommittee has developed a list of useful resources available outside UF. Let us know if we should add anything to the list!

Diversity & Inclusion Subcommittee
In spring 2020, the UF BREATHE Center established the BREATHE Diversity & Inclusion Subcommittee to ensure that our center provides a welcoming and equitable environment for all members and potential members, while also enhancing recruitment and retention of a diverse student body and faculty. The subcommittee meets via Zoom on a bimonthly basis and communicates regularly via their Slack channel.
