CoBAD: Bishop & Hodson

The Control of Breathing and Airway Defense (CoBAD) International Online Seminar Series featured Tammie Bishop, PhD & Emma Hodson, PhD on Friday, August 27th at 3:00 pm ET. Dr. Bishop’s research is focused on understanding the role of hypoxia in cancer. She is specifically interested in defining the circumstances and molecular pathways by which hypoxia and hypoxia signaling directly promote cell proliferation. Dr. Hodson studies the carotid body in acclimatization to hypoxia as a paradigm for understanding neurogenic hypertension. Their seminar was entitled: “HIF-2 and the carotid body.”
